Job Description
BAM Nuttall is working on a major energy project at Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater, Somerset, delivering reinforced concrete and infrastructure for a major UK project.We are looking for experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyors to join our busy business team and work on projects all over the North East.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for projects.
- Monitor project costs and ensure that financial objectives are met.
- Manage procurement processes, including negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct value engineering and cost analysis to optimize project costs.
- Assess and mitigate risks related to project finances and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to track project progress and resolve any financial issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of cost management, procurement, and contract law.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or related fields (e.g., RICS accredited degree).
- Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Excel.
