Job Description
The Grand Hotel Gosforth Park is looking for a serious and excited Bar Attendant to join our team. Our hotel is in 12 acres of grass right next to Newcastle Racecourse. It has 178 modern, luxury rooms and great places to relax. You will be responsible for making sure our guests have a great time at our bar by offering excellent service as a Bar Attendant.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times.
- Take orders, serve food and beverages, and provide recommendations to guests.
- Prepare the bar for service, clear and reset tables, and ensure adequate stock and supplies.
- Inform guests about our products and services, answering any queries they may have.
- Ensure sufficient glassware, stock, and other items are available for each shift.
- Adhere to all health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
- Work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is a plus.
- Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
